So I know… well I really hope, the whole #noregrets thing is coming to an end but I’ve been meaning to write about for a while is that I actually try to live by this saying! Not in the whole, “let’s get trashed and do stupid shit because #yolo” kind of way but in a “ain’t nobody got time for regrets” kind of way.
A normal person has to make about a zillion and three decisions a day, give or take ten or so. There is no way to consciously think about every single one of those decisions but the ones that do require conscious thought can be game changers.
Before deciding on those big ones I think to myself, “am I going to regret this?” Well…. If we’re being honest I usually make a thorough pros and cons list and then ask myself that question, but you get my point;)
I cannot say with 100% truth that I have absolutely no regrets in life, but I can say that I don’t have very many. Of course there have been moments I’m like, “welp… maybe I shouldn’t have said or done that,” but for the most part I mean everything I do.
Sometimes this may make me seem a wee bit less desirable because I don’t hold much back but I guess living a #noregrets life comes at a cost. Occasionally you have to step on some toes of some pretty important people to get your point across (especially if you’re obviously right)!
I don’t regret any of the stress that came with getting to this point in my life and I don’t regret any toe stepping. You really do only live once and should make the most of every second you have on this earth. But the #yolo topic is a-whole-nother blog!
Just remember, it maybe a pretty unrealistic goal to say that you have no regrets in your life but living a life full of regrets isn’t really a life at all either.
